River Lights Winter Festival: November 15 – January 4

  • Stroll the hundreds of holiday light displays in our two downtown parks, Toddy Jones Park and King’s Navy Yard Park until January 4, 2026.
  • On weekends, enjoy a cup of hot chocolate, participate in crafts and enjoy the gingerbread houses in the Walker Gingerbread Warming House.

Walker Gingerbread Warming House: Open Weekends November 15 – December 21

  • On weekend nights from 5:30pm-8:30pm from November 15th to December 21st, the festive holiday atmosphere of the Gingerbread Warming House in Toddy Jones Park will be waiting for you.
  • Free hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons, children’s crafts, gingerbread houses from the gingerbread house contest, and holiday story time at 6pm on Sundays with Santa Claus! Sponsored by Walker Aggregates.

Holiday Artisan Shoppe at Gibson Gallery: November 20 – December 14

  • Discover one-of-a-kind gifts and homemade treasures crafted by local artisans ad the annual Holiday Artisan Shoppe. From November 20 to December 14, the historic Gibson Gallery transforms into a festive boutique filled with art, decor, and seasonal delights.

  • Santa is coming to downtown Amherstburg! The Amherstburg Santa Claus parade is Saturday November 22nd at 6pm. Enjoy holiday music, bright Christmas floats and entertainment for the whole family.

GIBSON GALLERY: The Gibson Gallery, located at 140 Richmond St. in the former Michigan Central Railroad Station. The gallery is open Thursday to Sunday from 11:00am – 4:00pm.

Wolfhead Distillery

  • Distillery tours are offered on Saturdays only at 1pm and 3pm. Tours take approximately 45 minutes and include tastings of 5 of their top-selling spirits!
  • Cost is $20 plus tax per person for drinkers. Non-drinkers are $10 plus tax.
