Remembrance Day Parade & Ceremony: November 11

  • Join the Royal Canadian Legion Fort Malden Branch 157 for a solemn celebration of Remembrance Day on November 11
  • Parade from the Legion will step off at 10:30am and march towards the Cenotaph in King’s Navy Yard Park .

Gingerbread House Contest: November 13

  • Join our Annual Gingerbread House Contest. Unleash your creativity and build a festive masterpiece for a chance to win exciting prizes in different categories. Open to all ages, it’s a fun way to celebrate the season!
  • Drop off is between 3-6pm at the Warming House (50 North Street)

River Lights Opening Night: November 15

  • River Lights Opening Night is a great opportunity to see dazzling light displays, festive music, and interactive activities, creating a magical experience for families to kick off the holiday season!
  • The evening begins with the Super Santa 5K Run/Walk/Wheel at 5:00pm, continuing into the traditional tree lighting ceremony at 6:00pm, fireworks at 6:20pm and live music from Sisters of Choice at 6:45pm

Super Santa Run/Walk/Wheel: November 15

  • The Super Santa Walk/Run/Wheel returns this year on River Lights Opening Night. Walk, run or wheel a 5K race in Downtown Amherstburg dressed like Santa!
  • Come cheer on the Santas starting at 5:00pm on Saturday.

Walker Gingerbread Warming House: Opens November 15

  • On weekend nights from 5:30pm-8:30pm from November 15th to December 21st, the festive holiday atmosphere of the Gingerbread Warming House in Toddy Jones Park will be waiting for you.
  • Free hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons, children’s crafts, gingerbread houses from the gingerbread house contest, and holiday story time at 6pm on Sundays with Santa Claus! Sponsored by Walker Aggregates.
