Open Air Weekends: July 26-28

  • Experience open patios, live entertainment, children’s activities, and more. Downtown streets will be closed to vehicle traffic at 3pm on Friday until 8pm on Sunday.

Amherstburg Farmer’s Market: July 27

  • Visit the Amherstburg Farmer’s Market at GL Heritage Brewery this Saturday from 9am to 1pm. Rain or shine!

Amherstburg’s Gone Car Crazy car show: July 28

  • The 18th annual car show is back for another event in downtown Amherstburg from 10am to 4pm.
  • Experience hundreds of classic cars including street rods, trucks, sports cars and more. Live entertainment will also run throughout the event.

Musicland Amherstburg

  • Join Musicland on Fridays during Open Air for “Live From The Garage” and enjoy live music in the streets starting at 5:30pm.
  • Open Stage returns on the last Saturday of the month (July 27). Sign up at 7pm on the 27th at Musicland, and you’ll have the opportunity to perform two songs!

River Bookshop

  • Story Time Sunday takes place at 11am in front of the bookshop at Open Air.
  • Join Junior Book Club and meet up to talk about books by Stacy McAnulty. Learn more here

Royal Canadian Legion

  • A full schedule of events this week at the Royal Canadian Legion:
    • Bingo at 7pm on Monday, Tasty Tuesday from 11am-3pm, Meat draw at 5pm and pick up darts from 7pm-9pm on Wednesday, their FAMOUS chicken on Thursday from 3pm-6pm, Friday karaoke at 7pm, LIVE music on Saturdays from 6pm-10pm and Sundays from 2pm to 6pm.

Flow Cafe & Bikes

  • Bike rentals are now available! Rent a bike to explore Amherstburg, and check out their picnic packages for two people.

GL Heritage

  • GL Heritage hosts the weekly Amherstburg Farmer’s Market taking place on Saturdays from 9am to 1pm.
  • The brewery is open Friday thru Sunday and can be found online here

Grab Your Heritage Passport:

Visit all 6 Amherstburg Museums & Galleries with your Heritage Passport and enter for a chance to win a prize!

How the passport works:

  • Visit all 6 locations and have your passport stamped.
  • Answer the question provided at each stop.
  • Submit your completed passport at one of the stops by August 31st.

Participating locations: Amherstburg Freedom Museum, Fort Malden National Historic Site, Commissariat Office, Gibson Gallery, The Marsh Collection, Park House Museum.
