Come in from the cold and experience the magic at our Walker Gingerbread Warming House, located in Toddy Jones Park (50 North Street).
On weekend nights from 5:30pm-8:30pm from November 15th to December 21st, the festive holiday atmosphere of the Gingerbread Warming House will be waiting for you.
Free hot chocolate courtesy of Tim Hortons, children’s crafts, gingerbread houses from the gingerbread house contest, and holiday story time at 6pm on Sundays with Santa Claus! Sponsored by Walker Aggregates.

Whether you’re a history buff, a curious kid, or simply looking for something unique to do downtown, the Park House Museum has something for everyone this holiday season. Each event running until the end of the year will feature heritage experiences including: storytelling, soap making, cooking experiences and candlelit tours.

Ring in the holiday season with Christmas at the Amherstburg Freedom Museum!
Join them for a warm and friendly celebration of the Christmas season in the Nazrey A.M.E Church National Historic Site on 277 King Street on Sunday, December 7th at 2:30pm
The afternoon’s program will feature musical performances from Black Kids in Action & Trading Places, silent auction prizes, refreshments and access to visit the museum.

DECEMBER 11: Radio Renaissance Screening at The Fort Fun Center
Radio Renaissance: Amherstburg’s New Wave documentary will be screening at 7:00pm on Thursday, December 11 at The Fort Fun Center.
Radio Renaissance: Amherstburg’s New Wave takes viewers inside the inspiring story of CKBG 107.9 The Burg, a grassroots radio station launched in the heart of Amherstburg, Ontario. At a time when small-town radio seemed destined to fade, one man’s determination brought it roaring back to life.
Watch the documentary, meet director Gavin Michael Booth and engage in a Q&A at the end of the screening. Proceeds from ticket sales will go to the Amherstburg Food and Fellowship Mission and the House Youth Centre.

DECEMBER 12: Santa Shout Out
Ho Ho Ho, Santa is coming to downtown Amherstburg!
Don’t miss our Santa Shout Out December 12th from 6pm until 8pm next to the Gordon House at 266 Dalhousie Street. Santa will be in the snow globe to talk to all the kids about their Christmas wish. Secret elves will be wearing headlamp toques and will collect the necessary info from parents. No registration required.
