Get ready to time travel every weekend this summer at the Park House Museum! In celebration of Open Air Weekends, they’re bringing history to life with interactive, family-friendly activities every weekend. Whether you’re a history buff, a curious kid, or simply looking for something unique to do downtown, the Park House Museum has something for everyone.

This week, join Park House for THREE events: Music off the Back Porch, Mini Tarot Card Readings and Divinations in the Parlour.

  • June 21: National Indigenous People’s Day Beading Workshop with Empty Shell from 5:00pm – 8:00pm. Pre-registration required!

JUNE 3-22: Gentry Gardens Exhibit at Gibson Gallery

Experience the gallery’s latest exhibit running until June 22.

Gentry Gardens, a solo exhibit by Sandra Ellis will be displayed from June 3-22 in the gallery. Ellis captures the quiet beauty of disappearing architecture and landscapes with skillful use of colour and composition.

A reception will take place at the gallery on June 14 from 4:00pm – 5:30pm. Come meet these talented artist in person.

JUNE 19: The Murray Street Murders

Welcome to The Murray Street Murders! A comedic murder mystery dinner experience at The O in Hotel STRY, hosted by Michelle Mainwaring

The year is 1878 in the economic heart of Amherstburg. Business is booming and the three new tenants of 70 Murray Street are about to become involved in the town’s first of many murders.

Tickets include an appetizer, entree, dessert and show. Cash bar with full drink menu is available

There hasn’t been an Irish Village presented in the Carrousel of the Nations event since the ’80s, and this is the first time any village is being offered in Amherstburg!

Join them for TWO weekends of Irish food, music, dancing and storytelling.

JUNE 20-22: Amherstburg Ribfest

Ribfest returns to Amherstburg in 2025!

Ribbers and food vendors will line Ramsay St. between Richmond St. and Murray St. from June 20-22, with the parking lot behind the Richmond St. businesses serving as an area for tables, music and more. The event will take place alongside Open Air Weekends and is proud to work with many local businesses throughout the event.

WHEN: Friday, June 20 & Saturday, June 21 from 11:00am – 10:00pm, and Sunday, June 22 from 11:00am – 7:00pm

JUNE 27: Bagpipes in the Burg

Bagpipes in the Burg returns to Open Air Weekends this summer.

Thanks to the generous sponsorship of Gibb Insurance Brokers, the tradition will continue on select Friday evenings at 7:00pm during the event.

The parade route will run along the King’s Navy Yard Park pathway, up into the Open Air footprint and end at the Clock Tower (Richmond & Dalhousie Streets).

The Amherstburg two-hour cruise from Windsor Premier Cruises returns in 2025. Enjoy a sightseeing cruise around Boblo Island, and down the Livingston Channel to the mouth of Lake Erie.

Cruises depart from Amherstburg’s Kings Navy Yard Park at the docking area near the Murray Street park entrance (Murray St & Dalhousie St). Boarding begins at 1:00pm and the ship departs at 1:30pm.
