Get ready for fun: Amherstburg Open Air Weekends return in 2024!

Recently awarded Best Street Festival at the Best of Windsor Essex Awards, and “The Most Wonderful Event of the Yearby the Biz X Awards, the 14 weekend event is back, and it’s bigger than ever.

Find everything you need in our Open Air streets from craft beer, gourmet popcorn, cotton candy, frozen yogurt, gelato, baked goods to ice cream, satisfy your long awaited craving for delicious drinks and desserts from your favorite Amherstburg eateries. Shop Amherstburg’s amazing local businesses for clothes, accessories, home decor, jewelry, shoes, candles, classic and new author books and more!

This year, we’re introducing themed weekends to spice things up! Whether you’re a foodie, art enthusiast, or music lover, there’s something for everyone.

Night Markets return on Fridays offering a wonderful atmosphere where you can shop downtown while enjoying live music and delicious food. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover new treasures and support local artisans, vendors and businesses!

Whether you’re a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, Open Air Weekends are a must-attend event for all ages.

Find locally made treasures and come visit our awesome vendors on the downtown streets Fridays from 5pm to 9pm starting Friday, May 31 until Friday, August 30. Night market vendor applications are now closed.

Business Markets Every Saturday & Sunday!

Amherstburg businesses will showcase their products and services at our Open Air business markets on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm to 4pm.

Guided Historic Tours in King's Navy Yard Park

This summer during Open Air, learn more about Amherstburg’s rich history with our engaging docent tours.

Every Saturday and Sunday, join us at the Gordon House at 12pm for an immersive tour through the town’s fascinating past. Tours are led by knowledgeable guides that will take you through King’s Navy Yard Park to visit landmarks and learn about Amherstburg’s role in our regions heritage.

Don’t miss the opportunity to participate in one of these informative tours.

No registration is required. Tours may be cancelled during inclement weather.

Yoga in the Park

Unwind and rejuvenate with Yoga in the Park, returning this year at Open Air!

Join us on Sundays at 10am in King’s Navy Yard Park next to the gazebo for FREE one-hour yoga classes led by experienced instructors including some from Balance Yoga.

No registration is required. Weather permitting.

Bagpipe Parades

Bagpipe parades return through King’s Navy Yard Park and into the Open Air footprint this summer on select Saturdays at 1pm! Parades will start at the Park House, journey through the park to Murray Street and continue along Dalhousie Street to the Clock Tower.

This year’s performance dates:

  • June 29
  • July 13
  • July 27
  • August 10
  • August 24

Performances may be cancelled due to weather. Stay tuned to Visit Amherstburg social media pages for updates.

Pickleball

Pickleball in the downtown streets!

Join the Amherstburg Pickleball Association every Saturday and Sunday from 9am to 11am on Richmond Street (between the two banks) for free pickleball games and demonstrations.

Come eager to learn how to play the game and participate with the association every weekend during Open Air.

Beginners are welcome!

No equipment is required to participate.

There are many ways to enjoy Open Air. Whether you are riding your bike, driving your electric or gas vehicle or need accessible parking we have got you covered.

Areas of our downtown streets (Richmond St., Dalhousie St., and Murray St.) will be closed starting at 3pm on Fridays, and re-opening at 8pm on Sunday.
