Join our Annual Gingerbread House Contest!
Unleash your creativity and build a festive masterpiece for a chance to win exciting prizes in different categories. Open to all ages, it’s a fun way to celebrate the season!
Each year Gingerbread Houses are submitted to River Lights at the Gingerbread Warming House (50 North St) to be put on display for visitors to see every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30-8:30pm during the River Lights season.
If you would like to fill out the entry form in person, you can do so on November 12th when you deliver your creation to the Gingerbread Warming House (50 North St.) between 3-6pm.
There will be prizes for the following categories:
- Youth ages 5 and under
- Youth ages 6-13
- Teen ages 14-19
- Adult ages 20+
- Expert
Winners will be announced on Friday, November 20th. All entries will remain on display in the Warming House until Sunday, December 20th. If you wish to pick up your entry after the contest, you must do so on December 20th between 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

CONTEST RULES
- Gingerbread Houses must be placed on a board base that does not extend more than 5″ of the exterior of the house.
- Except for the base, entries must be constructed and composed completely of edible materials.
- Youth & Teen contestants may be supervised with the baking for safety precautions by a parent or guardian. All Gingerbread House construction, design and decorations must be done by the individual(s) entering the contest.
- The entry form can be filled out online until Wednesday November 11th or printed and submited in person with the Gingerbread House. Additional forms will be provided at the Gingerbread Warming House (50 North St.) on the day of submission.
- All submissions must arrive on Thursday Nov. 12th between 3-6pm at the Gingerbread Warming House in Toddy Jones Park (50 North St.).
- Winners will be announced Friday, November 20th, 2026.
- All entries will remain on display until Sunday, December 20th, 2026.
- If you wish to pick up your entry after the contest you must do so on Sunday December 20th between 5:30-8:30pm.
- Entries not picked up on Sunday December 20th between 5:30-8:30pm will be disposed of.
