Join our Annual Gingerbread House Contest. Unleash your creativity and build a festive masterpiece for a chance to win exciting prizes in different categories. Open to all ages, it’s a fun way to celebrate the season!
Each year Gingerbread Houses are submitted to River Lights at the Gingerbread Warming House (50 North St) to be put on display for visitors to see every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 5:30-8:30pm during the River Lights season.
On line entries are now closed. If you would like to fill out the entry form in person you can do so on November 14th when you deliver your creation to the Gingerbread Warming House (50 North St.) between 3-6pm.
There will be prizes for the following categories:
- Youth ages 5 and under
- Youth ages 6-13
- Teen ages 14-19
- Adult ages 20+
- Expert
Winners will be announced on Friday, November 22nd. All entries will remain on display in the warming house until Sunday, December 22nd. If you wish to pick up your entry after the contest, you must do so on December 22nd between 5:30pm – 8:30pm.

CONTEST RULES
- Gingerbread Houses must be placed on a board base that does not extend more than 5″ of the exterior of the house.
- Except for the base, entries must be constructed and composed completely of edible materials.
- Youth & Teen contestants may be supervised with the baking for safety precautions by a parent or guardian. All Gingerbread House construction, design and decorations must be done by the individual(s) entering the contest.
- Entry form must be filled out online by Wednesday, November 13, or printed and submitted in person on Thursday, November 14 at the Gingerbread Warming House.
- All submissions must arrive on Thursday, November 14 between 3-6pm at the Gingerbread Warming House in Toddy Jones Park (50 North St.).
- Entries not picked up on Sunday, December 22 between 5:30pm-8:30pm will be disposed of.
